"It really helped to have someone to talk too, ask questions and someone to hold me accountable. Lindsey really took the time to sit down with me each month to talk about what works and what doesn’t. She had me keep track of everything I ate for 1-2 weeks and then we would talk about it. I was eating mostly healthy foods but there were a couple things that was throwing everything off. For example, I was eating healthy food all day but a handful of cheese-its or gold fish. It wasn’t a lot but it was enough to throw things off."
What is one strategy or thing you have done or tried in the past few months to help you live your BEST life?
Weights! Lifting weights has mad a big difference is my life. I am stronger, my running has gotten better, my volleyball game has improved and it can carry all of my groceries in in one trip. Ha! It’s the little things ;)

My main take-away from the Get Strong/Stay Strong health program was nutrition. I cannot believe what I thought was healthy was still filled with so many things we don't need. When I tried gluten free on my own I thought that meant buying the boxes that said "gluten free." I learned what the marketing companies do to make us feel like we should be eating their foods. Sad thing is I have a Bachelors of Science in Food Science as my degree....sigh. I see the breakdown of food science vs nutrition now. I feel more knowledgeable of the foods that go into mine and my family's bodies. I want to continue doing the BFLC workouts, staying with my trainer on weights, and continue fasting and eating healthy. I want to stay healthy and keep my family healthy through this covid; give our bodies the nutrients it needs to keep a good immune system.
